The HSG is taking part in this major event which is taking place from Friday, March 25 – Thursday, March 31 in Washington DC.

The HSG has joined the Haiti Advocacy Working Group (HAWG), which together with Haitian social movements and Haitian Diaspora groups are bringing their voices to Capitol Hill on March 25-31, 2011. They will advocate for a just reconstruction and development process in Haiti, one that prioritizes the needs of women, internally displaced persons, smallholder farmers, the urban poor, immigrants and other vulnerable Haitians, includes the full participation of Haitian grassroots groups, the Diaspora and NGO’s and holds the US government accountable for delivery of its commitments.
